Its no secret that we love bento lunches around here, today we are featuring some fun tips for easy bento lunches from Cheryl, at A Pretty Cool Life blog. Cheryl is a busy mama of four living in Chicago. Her blog features everything from cute easy crafts to darling bento style lunches + fun recipes to make with the little ones! The key she says, “is to keep it simple & fun!”
Cheryl’s 4 easy tips to perfect bento lunches for your kiddos:
- I use tiny cookie cutters and fondant cutters to make shapes and spell words from cheese and fruit leather. I’ve had good luck finding them at craft and fabric stores.
- I use the tiny animal picks/forks for function, but also as cute decoration! I found these at a local Asian market, but I’ve also seen them on Amazon.
- I use Rubbermaid Lunchblox boxes, divided by silicone cupcake cups {found at a craft store, too.} They fit perfectly inside our SkipHop lunchbox.
- Bento Lunches are pretty self-explanatory as far as directions, so don’t over think it .. just remember to think little samples of food are perfect for getting your little ones to try something new!
