Spring time activities are endless, but Easter has got to be my favorite. I love being able to pass down holiday traditions with my kids, and show them what I grew up on and that is family. We love going to the park and hiking to the waterfalls in spring. The trails are just starting to bloom and it is beautiful! I have older boys and girls and a baby girl and baby boy on the way but I think my “middle child” my 9 year old son deserves this so he knows how special he is to us. Spring is our favorite season! This is the first spring my twin girls have experienced and it has been a blast so far. They love to play out side and feed the ducks at the part. We love the perfect weather ‘not to hot.. not to cold.. But just right 🙂 we love going on walks and seeing the beautiful flowers waking from a long winters nap and hearing the amazing sounds of the birds in the morning.

But in the spring, at the first major thaw, the snow melts into a raging waterfall that flows over the rocks and crevices of our hidden spot. With the cool water and first signs of new life springing from branches and muddy patches, this is the most special time of spring for us!
In the summer, our favorite spot to hike/bike to is an almost stagnant pond full of frogs and other wildlife. But in the spring, at the first major thaw, the snow melts into a raging waterfall that flows over the rocks and crevices of our hidden spot. With the cool water and first signs of new life springing from branches and muddy patches, this is the most special time of spring for us! Pregnant with our fifth child, this would be our chance to make a custom room for two of our girls who are trying to make the best of a tight space.

Our favorite springtime activity is running around at the neighborhood splash pad. My 17month old son Connor is a true water baby and we are lucky enough to enjoy the splash pad here in California all spring and summer. Baby Lily is due in late May and her baby shower is Kentucky Derby themed – horses, glitter, juleps! Our favorite spring time activity is going outside and I make big sensory bins full of different things such as colored rainbow rice and provide measuring spoons and cups of all sorts for my 2 year old daughter and her friends to play with. Our favorite bin is full of cloud dough she freely explores and squishes between her fingers and usually ends up inside the bucket herself. It’s so much fun! My favorite spring time activity is biking any and everywhere to enjoy the beautiful weather but especially biking to the local shaved ice place to get some yummy shaved ice. We are having a sweet little girl so it is for my first nursery!
My favorite spring activity would have to be taking my son up ti my parents house in Lake Tahoe where I grew up. It’s just starting to warm up the snow is usually starting to melt and everything feels like its starting to get clean again. The air feels so fresh and o love sharing that experience!
