I’m 7 months pregnant with a baby girl. My first girl and last baby. I have two boys who are 5 and 3. Between taking care of them, working full-time and tight finances, planning my daughters nursery has been stressful and overwhelming. This would be such a gift it give my one girl a beautiful nursery.
I found out I was pregnant the week we moved– and we moved into a fixer upper! Needless to say, the nursery has been on the back burner… Behind remodeling kitchens and bathrooms. My second daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 2. We are blessed she is now recovered and still with us. Financially, we are still years away from recovering from cancer.
My three daughters now have a new baby brother who they love to hug and make laugh. All four are strong happy children who have, for six years endured the physical, emotional, and financial hardships of cancer. Many times, they’ve taken upon themselves to be more adult than childlike.
My husband has needed to take a job out of state so hopefully we can fully recover financially. We hope to be together again soon. He has missed much of the first months of our son’s life.
As their mother, it would be a dream come true to give them a space to pamper and play with their new little brother. Someplace blue, even! A happy place where they can just be children, siblings, who love to be together.

My husband lost his job in April and we found out we’re pregnant in June. Thankfully he’s found a new job, but it’s not too great. We cannot wait to welcome this little one! So here’s the deal. My husband and I are living paycheck to paycheck with 2 little ones to take care of under the age of 2! My 2 year old is still in the crib(which is the only thing in his room) because we can’t afford to get him a bed. My new little girl is in a pack n’ play that was donated to us. We cannot afford a nursery, and basically our apartment is full of donated unmatching furniture because we have zero dollars. We really need this so bad! Please pick me!
After TTC a baby for 2 years my husband and i were faced with the decision of IVF. Being this was the only way to try and have a baby on our way we spent our savings to do this process and we are so blessed that we received our first ever positive pregnancy test. I am 5 weeks and 5 days today so still super early but I have faith this is it for us. IVF is not covered with insurance so we had to pay out of pocket leaving us with no money to really furnish a nursery. This would be an absolute blessing for us.

Hi there! I am 30 weeks pregnant, and anticipating the arrival of our little bundle soon. We did not find out the gender of our child, as we want to keep it a surprise! After an early birth that ended in an emergency C-section, our baby boys nursery say unfinished for months while he slept in our room. i am currently pregnant with baby number 5 and it’s a girl! She will be our 4th girl and the crib and nursery didn’t survive through the last one so we need to start all over again with baby furniture. We have moved all over the country for my husbands job which has required lots of sacrifices. We are planning on moving one last time in 2 months and then buying a house since we will finally be stable. It will be a happy day when I get to paint my own walls, even if they are white 🙂 I would love to have new furniture to help us with this baby. I am currently 37 weeks pregnant with a baby boy! I found out I was pregnant while I was finishing up grad school in London and had to move back to the US right after I was finished with schooling, and also 7 months pregnant. While I am extremely lucky to have my mom’s support and a roof over my head, I am unemployed at the moment and every thing I have for the baby has been graciously donated by friends. I would love to win this misery makeover, because when my girls was somewhere around 3 months old we purchased our first home (the closing kept being delayed and we were supposed to move before I gave birth) and I had already painted and decorated our apartments nursery with lovely hand me down items our friends and family gave us and a few special pieces I found. When we moved I was mostly taking care of my girl so my sweet sister in law set up my nursery and a few weeks late my mom hung some things in there. I would love to win this nursery! We are resource parents and we have one nursery that our 3 month old is in. Then, unexpectedly on Thanksgiving they asked us to take a newborn. At 20 weeks pregnant, I had an emergency cerclage surgery to save my baby. Because of the severity of my circumstances, I was placed on strict bed rest starting at week 20 for the remainder of pregnancy. I have 5 minutes an hour to be on my feet/sitting up. The remainder of the hour I have to be laying down flat. We are expecting a baby boy in February, and since this is our first baby, I don’t have a nursery set up and will not have an opportunity to put together the nursery until after he is born. I want the room to be bright and cheerful and modern before the baby gets here. This is our first and it’s been hard to figure out how to approach decorating! We’re also both CPAs, so the next four months are pretty much off-limits as far as our time. Help!

To win this would be such a huge blessing. Our little man is due in January and we don’t have any of these items yet. My boyfriend and I are both part-time students working full time and living on a budget. Once the baby is here I’ll have to take unpaid leave so our budget has been even tighter while we try to save for that, so we have only been able to purchase the absolute necessities for baby. I would love to be able to give him a beautiful nursery.
This will be our 4th baby. I would love to create a space that is uniquely his or hers. I love the decor we have chosen for our older children but it would be so nice to be able to do some thing just for them.

Our second child was a shock, we were planning our wedding, I was supposed to be finishing my senior year in college as ow we are buying a house and moving right before he is due. Being able to decorate a nursery will not be on our list of to do things unfortunately. This would be simply amazing for my son to have his own room and not just an empty room with a crib!
This is our first baby and we just keep staring at the spare room, our thoughts blank with ideas on how to decorate or the items to put in it. We also are not finding out what we are having, and this look is so neutral and classy, just my style!
I am actually a licensed foster parent and my age range includes infants. I have been struggling to create something neutral that is beautiful and comforting. This would be a great opportunity to create a room that a baby or young child could feel safe in secure in during a really difficult time in their life. Preparing for one or two children without knowing their ages or sexes, can be really difficult and costly and this would help offset some of the stress that comes along with this process!

I have a hard time staying pregnant our first child was in the NICU for 3 weeks. So this time around I was put on bed rest early to help stay pregnant. So with a toddler and other house bills, My husband and I have not been able to put together a nursery for our baby girl. My husband was not able to make the birth, so I did it on my own. My little guy had a rough start to life. 3 surgeries and 5 hospital stays in the first 3 months. He is thriving now. I had no motivation to put together the nursery I had in mind with all of the doctor’s appointments and stress. Now that we have settled a bit I’m unhappy with what I was able to throw together.

Deep down I never really thought I’d be able to have a child. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer at a young age and even though my doctor said I was in the clear I thought the worse when my husband and I started trying. I totally believe that our children choose us…that they come to us when their little spirits are ready to live in this world and so when I did see two lines appear I knew a miracle had happened and that some special little soul had chosen us. My pregnancy hasn’t been golden, but it’s been magical. We’re trying to do as much as we can for her as possible. We’re reading the books and taking the classes, watching the documentaries about natural child birth and so on… I’d love to continue that preparation with a perfect little calming nursery. That dream space would mean the world to my husband and I. We’re in LA alone. All our families are back in other states so any and all help would be so greatly appreciated. I dream of a room that I rock her in, quiet and lovely that celebrates the love we have for her. Thank you for creating this contest. It’s such a thoughtful and kind idea.

This is amazing because we just found out we’re expecting out second child and there isn’t really any money in the budget for a new nursery so we are planning to reuse as much as possible that out daughter has outgrown (which isn’t much because she’s only 16 months). I would adore being the Nursery Dream Room winner because we have a beautiful home, but I have never been able to finish anything for the baby. So far it is a storage room that the baby sleeps in. I trip over things as I enter (Not proud of this) I got a retro dresser but my hubby is afraid it has lead, so I don’t use it for his clothes that sit in boxes on the floor. My husband and I are pregnant with our miracle baby! We tried for years to get pregnant and struggled with infertility. All in all it brought us so much closer together and we were so blessed and excited to find out we were pregnant! We are expecting our little girl, we call her Lo, in March. 🙂 I would love to have a beautiful nursery for her. We tried for our second for a year and a half, including many procedures and another surgery. We gave up when our doctor told us it probably wasn’t going to happen without IVF, which we couldn’t afford. I cried, got rid of A LOT of my baby stuff and got pregnant naturally 3 months later. I never thought it would happen. My boys will share a room and I feel like this would be a great welcome for my newest little one. A space made special just for him and his brother.

I’m sure I’m no more deserving than the rest of the beautiful mommas, but it would be a blessing to win this! I am currently 25+ weeks pregnant with our first baby, we are expecting a baby boy. My boyfriend and I have been together 4+ years, and he’s going to be such a great father. He works 150 or more hours every two weeks on a dairy farm to provide for us and our soon to be family. And unfortunately most of that goes to bills, so winning a nursery make over would be amazing! We cannot wait for March to get here and meet our bundle of joy 🙂

We moved cross-country this summer and found out we were pregnant right after. I am having a little boy, our first, and we are so excited to welcome him. My sister-in-law & brother-in-law deserve the new nursery. They are new parents that continuously give of themselves to others in our community & around the world. This December they organized an effort to get school uniforms & supplies from their home in the US to the Costa Rican orphanage which they volunteer in. They are full of love, peace & joy which is evident to everyone around them.

Honestly, every mom should win. I can’t sit here and tell you I deserve something more than another mom. Every women who has had a child, whether birthed it herself or adopted, deserves to win. We all put in our long hours! The 4am feedings, the comfort love that only momma can give. No one truly understands except another mom. But let’s face it really though. Aren’t we already winners? As I sit here holding my son who is fast asleep, I know I already won.

I just had my second child (first boy!) in August. A week after having him we moved and I have yet thought about his nursery!!! This same situation happened with my first (moving right after delivery) so I’ve never experienced decorating a nursery before a baby arrives and nesting. All our nursery furniture is kinda yucky since its all been used so winning anything new would seriously be a DREAM! I’d love to have a space for my baby that’s tranquil and thought out so that we will enjoy our time in there 😉
We do not have the financial resources at this time to do a totally new nursery for baby #2. She will mostly be using the same things from our first child which there’s nothing wrong with but I love interior design and it would be amazing to be able to have a unique new nursery for our little girl on the way.

I would absolutely be over the moon if my husband and I were to win this. I LOVE everything about this adorable nursery for our baby boy! I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and we are moving on January 1st. I think by the time I had baby number 4 life was so busy it was hard to set anything up. We kept all the other kids hand me downs like a swing, crib, bouncer, etc so she has some of the basics. Her room upstairs is just so bare and she deserves a mom who has a little motivation to make her space special just for her. In our home the kids rooms are unique to each of their personalities, filled with their favorite colors and textures. By the time little hazel rolled around we were doing good to put her in the crib! Her name is hazel pearl and I’d love to take my oyster shell and make it a true pearl just like she is to us!

When my son was born my husband and I were not ready when it came to the nursery. During the few months since he was born we have tried our best to improve his nursery. I found out I wasorwgnant with my daughter in January. I got married in December and was due October 1. My daughter was born 10 weeks early after I was on bedrest for a month and a half. She stayed in the NiCU for 2 months. I had my baby shower after she was born but most of my family could not make it due to the travel distance. We are moving, again, third time this year in hopes of settling as my husband is a pastor. Just looking to final settle and call a place home. I also wants daughter to have a cozy place just for her. it’s been a long ride. Ready for the calm. 🙂

I am absolutely blown away by the community, dedication and service of this project! My guy and I are expecting a little boy – our first child- in March 2015. In preparation for me to leave work when the little one comes we’re both pulling many, many hours at multiple jobs and the design of the nursery will have to stay a dream for me apart from a yellow velvet couch that I snagged from the curb years ago! We are both very hardworking and creative people and want to give our son a secure life filled with all our love – but as we can’t afford extras it would be beyond a dream to be granted a nursery wish in our small 2-bedroom apartment!
